HALO HYBRID LASER by SCITON

It is easy to love the feeling of the sun warming your skin. However, over time exposure to the sun can take a toll on your skin’s youthful appearance. Harsh UV rays can damage and prematurely age the skin, causing wrinkles, age spots, and pigmentation problems. The HALO laser resurfacing treatment can reverse skin damage and make your skin glow with little to no downtime. Milan Eye Center is proud to present the HALO Hybrid Fractional Laser and BroadBand Light Therapy (BBL) as part of our offerings with Dr. Kiran Sajja and Dr. Sagar Patel at our Alpharetta, Buford, Canton, Cumming, Dawsonville, Johns Creek, Marietta, and Snellville locations.

What Makes the Halo Laser Treatment Different?

With most resurfacing treatments you must make a tough choice between fast results or minimal downtime. With the Sciton® HALO treatment, you do not have to compromise.

The HALO laser skin treatment is the first and only resurfacing treatment that offers the rapid results associated with ablative laser resurfacing as well as the minimal downtime you expect with non-ablative lasers. With our hybrid treatment options, we can address aging both on the skin’s surface and deeper into the dermal layers, dramatically improving the skin’s tone, texture, and clarity.

Milan Eye Center also offers the BroadBand Light (BBL) laser that treats multiple skin tones and conditions. It can treat pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, acne, skin tightening, and hair removal. The BBL treatment is the most complete and versatile BroadBand light system in its class.

Minimal Down Time and Fast Results

Many of the lasers used for similar procedures are either ablative or non-ablative. Ablative lasers work well for addressing fine lines, acne scars, and other under eye problems and problems surrounding areas of the face and neck. These lasers work quickly but usually require weeks of downtime. Non-ablative lasers, on the other hand, go deeper into the skin without disrupting the surface. They are better for improving the skin’s overall tone and texture. Non-ablative lasers do not typically require much if any, downtime. However, results tend to occur more slowly, and several treatments are often required.

The HALO treatment provides the best of both worlds by applying ablative and non-ablative wavelengths simultaneously. The use of combination therapy provides results in just 1-2 treatments with a non-ablative recovery time of 5-7 days, instead of a fully ablative downtime of 2-3 weeks.

What Skin Problems are Treatable with the HALO Laser Treatment?

Men and women of any age who want to improve the tone and texture of their skin may be good candidates for this treatment. The HALO treatment can achieve dramatic results in reducing the appearance of:

  • Sun Damage/Dyschromia
  • Signs of Aging
  • Enlarged Pores
  • Discoloration
  • Fines Lines
  • Poor Texture
  • Light Scarring
  • Uneven Skin Tone
  • Hyperpigmentation

It is completely versatile and adjustable to treat a broad spectrum of cosmetic concerns in just one session. The customizable hybrid laser wavelengths make the HALO treatment safe for a variety of skin types, including those with darker skin tones. A personal consultation is the best way to determine if HALO is right for your skin and goals.

If redness, brown spots, and dull skin on your face, neck, or hands are starting to cause concern, BroadBand Light therapy, also known as BBL, is an option to help restore your skin to its natural beauty.

HALO Treatment Process

At Milan Eye Center, we have two board-certified oculofacial plastic surgeons, Dr. Kiran Sajja and Dr. Sagar Patel. Both physicians perform laser treatments at our Alpharetta and Snellville locations.

The HALO treatment is performed in-office and takes about 30 minutes to complete. You can expect to see mild redness, and it may feel like a slight sunburn in the treated area. This should dissipate after a few hours, but in some cases, it could last a day or two. Most treatments will require you to avoid make-up or any potentially irritating creams or serums before and at least 24 hours after. Swelling, redness, and a feeling that the skin is hot, like a sunburn, are common during the first few days.

For BBL, the light energy delivered will gently heat the upper layers of your skin. The heat absorbed by the targeted areas will stimulate your skin cells to regenerate new collagen. Immediately following treatment, you can expect to see mild redness, and it may feel like a slight sunburn in the treated area. This should dissipate after a few hours, but in some cases, it could last a day or two.

Does The HALO Treatment Work?

The HALO hybrid laser is especially powerful against wrinkles and fine lines because it helps to counteract signs of aging right at the source. The non-ablative laser tackles the appearance of surface wrinkles, while the ablative laser works within the deepest layers of the dermis to counteract aging.

Many patients see results within two to five days of treatment when the old layers of skin begin to peel and the new, revitalized skin is revealed. Gradual improvement will continue for several weeks, especially for those dealing with pigmentation issues. Most patients achieve optimal results with a series of up to three treatment sessions. Using a high SPF sunscreen daily is especially important if you want to see continued improvement and maintain your results for years to come.

When we asked our patient, Amber, about her experience she said, “If you asked me on days 2 through 4 – I might have hesitated; but now that I’m on the other side of it, I’m in love with the glow and texture of my skin! To me, it was 100% worth it! Within a couple of weeks, I could see the collagen starting to boost and within a month I easily looked years younger! It was so easy! Barely painful. I would do this again in a heartbeat!”

BBL Treatment Options

Years of unprotected sun exposure, harsh cleansers, and the process of aging can do a number on your skin, making it look dull and wrinkled. For those looking to reverse the signs of aging by minimizing sun spots, sun damage, and more, the BroadBand light therapy system may be an option.

BroadBand light (BBL) therapy has been used to treat pigmented lesions, vascular lesions, acne, skin tightening, and even hair removal. We offer the BBL corrective, BBL Forever Young, and the BBL SkinTyte. These systems can be used together to correct, rejuvenate, and tighten loose, tired skin. BBL has no downtime, with long-lasting improvement seen even after just one procedure. BBL is clinically proven to not only correct and reverse the signs of aging but also works to prevent them. BBL can be used in conjunction with our HALO skin procedure to help with deeper resurfacing and scaring. Let us help you feel and look 10 years younger.

Affordability

The best eye care, regardless of budget

With the HALO and BBL treatments, there are six pricing categories based on the density used during the treatment and the area on which the treatment is done. The density is determined based on the patient’s skin tone, texture, pore size, and what they want the treatment to ultimately accomplish. The price can also fluctuate based on how many treatments will be needed in the end.

Whether you require HALO resurfacing treatment, BBL treatment, or any type of eye surgery; you want the best care when it comes to your vision, regardless of your budget. To make quality care accessible to everyone, Milan Eye Center offers zero-down financing options with approved credit through Wells Fargo, CareCredit, and Alphaeon. We also accept all FSA/HSA plans.
