Dr. Shah is a board-certified optometrist in comprehensive optometry. She specializes in the diagnosis and medical management of ocular disease and the co-management of ocular surgical procedures.
A Florida native, Dr. Shah earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise & Sport Sciences from the University of Florida in 2001. Afterward, she earned her Doctorate of Optometry from Nova Southeastern University in 2005, completing many of her clinical rotations with honors. Interested in pursuing further education and practicing in an academic setting, Dr. Shah went on to complete a residency at the State University of New York in Manhattan.
Following the completion of her residency, she was asked to stay on as faculty where she remained for the next 5 years. At SUNY, she served as both a primary care clinician and assistant clinical professor overseeing students and residents.
Dr. Shah has served as a standard-setter for the National Boards of Optometry and is an active member of both the American Optometric Association and its local chapter, the Georgia Optometric Association. Over the past several years, she has also served on the research side as a consultant for various ocular study-related protocols.
Dr. Shah strives to be personable and thorough when it comes to patient care. She enjoys connecting with people and educating them on their ocular health. Outside of the office, she enjoys being active with her two boys and husband.
