Dr. Cameron Johnson is a board certified Ophthalmologist who specializes in cataract surgery, including the use of advanced technology intraocular lenses, LASIK, and corneal disease.
Dr. Johnson graduated summa cum laude from Birmingham-Southern College and earned a full-tuition Canby Robinson Scholarship to attend Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He completed his residency at the Vanderbilt Eye Institute, where he contributed to research published in Ophthalmology.
He furthered his training with a fellowship in Cornea, External Disease, and Refractive Surgery at the University of Florida. After practicing in Phoenix, Dr. Johnson returned to UF as Director of Refractive Surgery and taught cataract and corneal surgery to resident physicians at the Veterans Affairs Hospital.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Before joining Milan Eye Center in 2015, he received the Golden Stethoscope Award for exceptional patient care at Kaiser Permanente.
He lives in Marietta, GA, where he enjoys spending time with his wife Anjali, and his kids Hayden, Reese, Adele, and Neev. His hobbies include hiking, watching historical documentaries, and listening to live music.
My experience at Milan Eye Center was one of excellence. The center is well organized and flows smoothly. All staff knew their responsibilities and worked efficiently. Also, the staff worked well together with a pleasant and cheerful attitude. I felt relaxed and confident. Thanks to all. If I had a complaint, it would be that I had some (although, not much) wait time before surgery. I would recommend everyone come to Milan Eye Center and Dr. Johnson. He is an excellent physician with a friendly, caring attitude. A big thank you to him.

Dr. Johnson will never understand how much I appreciated him listening to me and taking the time to thoroughly review my medical history and issues. I have been to a LOT of doctors over the last 2 months and paid a lot of money for doctors to ignore me, blow me off and throw a prescription at me that did nothing to help. I potentially have something pretty serious going on and he actually helped me and went out of his way to make me feel like he was on my team. I would definitely recommend him to other people.
