Dr. Kate Lohman is a medically focused optometrist specializing in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease and the co-management of refractive and ocular surgeries.
Originally from Williamson, Georgia, Dr. Lohman earned her Bachelor of Science in Applied Biotechnology from the University of Georgia, graduating magna cum laude. She then continued her professional training and earned her doctorate from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry, graduating with honors.
Dr. Lohman has more than a decade of experience in the management of glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and dry eye disease, as well as pre and post-operative care of cataract and corneal surgeries.
Outside of her professional practice, she enjoys weightlifting, biking, and spending time with her husband, daughter, and corgis. She loves the Georgia bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves — and sometimes the Falcons.
