Dr. Tochukwu Ndukwe is an ophthalmologist specializing in the medical and surgical management of glaucoma, as well as cataract surgery. He provides comprehensive glaucoma care, including laser treatments, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), sustained drug delivery therapies, and complex filtering procedures such as trabeculectomy and tube shunt surgery.
Dr. Ndukwe completed his undergraduate and medical training at the University of Michigan, followed by an internship and ophthalmology residency at the Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. He then pursued specialized fellowship training in glaucoma at the Emory Eye Center, where he gained advanced experience managing complex and high-risk glaucoma.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ndukwe‘s research focuses on improving access to timely and effective eye care. During residency, he was awarded multiple grants to lead patient-centered studies aimed at improving outcomes for underserved communities. He remains committed to advancing equitable access to high-quality ophthalmic care.
Dr. Ndukwe believes in partnering closely with patients to develop individualized treatment plans that preserve vision and quality of life. He incorporates advanced diagnostic tools and evidence-based surgical techniques to deliver thoughtful, precise care while ensuring that patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their treatment journey.
