Dr. Aimee Mesenburg is a board certified optometrist and residency trained doctor in ocular disease including the diagnosis and management of anterior and posterior segment eye disease as well as co-management of post operative ocular surgery.
A native to San Francisco, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences degree at the University of California: Santa Barbara in 2012. During her time in Santa Barbara, she was the Vice President of the Pre-Optometry Association, Co-Founder of the Santa Barbara Medlife Chapter, and led a team of students on a medical bridge through Peru.
She continued her professional training at the New England College of Optometry where she earned her Doctorate of Optometry in 2016. During optometry school, she was a member of the Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and traveled to Nicaragua to perform eye exams in underserved populations. She completed her residency in Ocular Disease at Omni Eye Services of Atlanta where she gained extensive knowledge in cornea, cataracts, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and surgical co-management.
Dr. Mesenburg is a member of the American Optometry Association and the Georgia Optometry Association.
In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, running, and as avid hiker, frequents the North Georgia Mountains.
